Marked Present:
It’s odd how similar my childhood trauma is to my mom’s. We both lost our dads at a very young age. My grandma was the sole provider for her children the same way my mom had to raise me by herself. This photo project explores how I have grown to understand the lives my mom and my grandma created – for each other and for me. Raising a family may never go off without a hitch, but we all do our best and the kids turn out alright.
